Mobile Units

Mobile Medical Unit

Our new Mobile Medical Unit delivers comprehensive care to COMC’s most rural communities as well as provides outreach activities. The unit offers us the opportunity to expand access to the care of our community by supplying our services and removing possible barriers to receiving care in one of our regular clinic sites.

Mobile Dental Unit

Our Mobile Dental Clinic offers dental care and oral health awareness to school districts located within Camden, Laclede, Pulaski, and Miller counties. We also reach out to assist patients that would otherwise have to travel a long distance to reach a dentist and those located in isolated, rural communities.

Substance Use Disorder Treatment (MAT)

Addiction to drugs and alcohol is a disease.  Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is the use of medications, such as Suboxone, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a “whole-patient” approach to the treatment of substance use disorders.  Research shows that a combination of medication and therapy can successfully treat these disorders, and for some people struggling with addiction, MAT can help sustain recovery. MAT is clinically driven with a focus on individualized patient care.  MAT for opioid use disorder in particular is the safest approach to care and is considered the best practice in the treatment of most patients including pregnant women.

If you are interested in learning more about Suboxone treatment and the benefits it can provide to your recovery, contact COMC at (877) 406-2662.

PrEP and PEP

Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) can help you stay HIV negative, even if your partner might have HIV.

PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is medicine people at risk for HIV take to prevent getting HIV from sex or injection drug use.

PEP stands for post-exposure prophylaxis. It means taking antiretroviral medicines after being potentially exposed to HIV to prevent becoming infected.

340B Drug Pricing Program

The federal 340B Program is a drug price control program that allows COMC providers to assist their patients in purchasing outpatient drugs from manufacturers at discounted prices.  Drug manufacturers are required to participate in the 340B program to be included on Medicaid and Medicare’s covered drug list. Regardless of insurance type or lack of insurance coverage, we can provide access to this program.  Discounts range from 20-50% off drug prices.

Primary Care Health Home (PCHH)

A Medicaid funded initiative to provide comprehensive case management to patients struggling with chronic health conditions. COMC Nurse Care Managers at each of our locations provide clinical care management that can help with managing chronic conditions between provider appointments. The COMC PCHH team includes the provider, nurses, nurse care manager, care coordinator and you, the patient.

  • Diabetes
  • Asthma
  • COPD
  • Hypertension
  • Hyperlipidemia
  • ADHD
  • Obesity
  • Tobacco use
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Developmental Disabilities

If you qualify for PCHH, your Medicaid or Managed care will cover the cost of the program.

Chronic Care Management (CCM)

CCM is a care management initiative designed to support COMC patients with Medicare. Many of the diagnosis above apply to this program as well and allow patients the opportunity to access 20 minutes a month or more with a nurse or care team member participating on their care plan. At COMC, our goal is to make sure each of our patients has the right help to ensure the best health outcomes possible.
