New Year’s Resolutions For Your Health

Instead of overeating when you are stressed, take a walk or drink some Stress-Free tea.

People struggle with this but there are a few things you can do to really stick to it. For example, schedule your workouts the same way you would schedule a work meeting or dinner outing. Actually place it into your schedule on your phone or write it in your planner as it is a normal part of your week. You can also do more things at work to stay more active. For example, instead of sending a coworker an e-mail, walk over to them to say what you were going to say. Take breaks to walk outside around the building. If your office allows, bring an exercise ball in and do a few crunches while sitting at your desk.

Improve your inner happiness and be more positive this year by writing everything you are thankful for each week.

This is one of the most important healthy New Year’s resolutions you can make. Lack of sleep can lead to weight gain and stress. Put down your electronics earlier this year and do what you need to do to get at least 7 hours of sleep every night. If you are having trouble falling asleep, drink some warm Sleepytime tea or a warm glass or milk.

All of us here at Central Ozarks Medical Center hope these resolution examples help inspire you to make healthy choices in the New Year! We know it’s not always easy but we believe in you!
